Relaunch 2026: Carpe Diem – Style Has No Size

Some designs stay with us for years.
They are created in a specific phase of life.
They reflect who we were at that time.
And eventually, there comes a moment when you realize:
I have grown.
Many of you know that I've been completely revisiting some of my older patterns step by step. Not out of nostalgia. But out of conviction.
I work more precisely today.
I calculate shaping more consciously.
I structure patterns more clearly.
I think about sizing differently.
It began with the traditional girls' jacket relaunch.
And now I am continuing this path with a design that holds a very special place in my heart:
Carpe Diem.
My very first paid design.
And that is exactly why I knew:
If it returns, it returns with substance.
Style Has No Size
With this relaunch, I am starting a campaign that truly matters to me:
Style has no size.
We live in a time where sizes are constantly judged.
Too small.
Too large.
Too slim.
Too curvy.
But style works differently.
Style is not a clothing size.
Style is attitude.
Style is presence.
Style is how you feel in what you wear.
That is what I wanted to express with this new edition.
I didn't just recalculate the dress.
I intentionally re-knit it in XL.
Not as a marketing strategy.
But as a clear statement:
Every woman is beautiful in every size.
A good design must not work for just one silhouette.
It must work through structure.
The textured relief patterns shape the body without restricting it.
They work with the body.
Not against it.
Vertical panels create length.
Texture adds depth.
The construction provides balance and calm.
The result is a dress that doesn't hide —
but also doesn't force anything.
More Than an Update – A Conscious Decision
Technically, this edition has been completely revised:
- Expanded sizes S / M / L / XL
- Fully recalculated shaping
- Refined pattern logic
- Large, color-structured charts (separate PDF)
- Clear sectional guidance
But the biggest change isn't in the shaping.
It's in the intention.
I want to design garments that don't categorize women.
But empower them.
Why This Matters to Me
Because I know how often we make ourselves smaller.
How often we think:
"That's not for me."
"I can't wear that."
"That's not right for my body."
I don't want to participate in that conversation.
I want to create.
I want to design pieces that don't say:
"This works only if…"
But simply:
"This works."
Period.
A textured knit dress is not a statement about size.
It is a statement about craftsmanship, structure, and confidence.
And confidence has no clothing label.
The Technical Side
Of course, this relaunch also includes everything you expect from my patterns:
- 10 pages structured step-by-step instructions
- 26 pages of large, detailed knitting charts (separate PDF)
- 10 textured stitch patterns as a modular stitch collection
- All patterns written out row by row
- Color-coded charts for easier reading
The charts are intentionally structured so that repeats and sections are clearly visible. You should be able to work calmly and confidently — even through more complex pattern sequences.
Construction & Wearability
The dress is knitted in separate pieces and then sewn together.
The fit is close to the body — but comfortable.
It follows the silhouette without dominating it.
You decide how to wear it:
- as a knit dress
- as a long sweater
- styled with leggings
- sporty
- elegant
Size does not define style.
You define it.
🤍 My Conclusion: Every Woman Is Beautiful in Every Size
I see so many discussions about body types, ideals, about what is "right" or "wrong."
I never wanted to participate in that — and I still don't.
I want to design.
I want to create garments that do not say:
"This only suits you if…"
But simply:
"It suits you."
An Invitation
Maybe you've knitted Carpe Diem before.
Maybe it's completely new to you.
Either way — I invite you not to see this dress as a size label.
But as a possibility.
A possibility to feel comfortable.
A possibility to wear texture.
A possibility to stop comparing.
Style has no Size.
And good design should work for every woman.
If you'd like to rediscover this design — or knit it for the first time — the 2026 edition is now available on all platforms.
To celebrate the relaunch, Carpe Diem is 20% off on Etsy until Sunday (01.03.2026).
Maybe this is exactly the right moment.
From the heart — and with deep conviction,
Kathrin 🧡
