Some projects begin with an idea. This one began with two very special souls.
A very personal story became a project close to my heart: With my stitches, I want to give something back where help is truly needed.
The Story Behind It
It all started with Emma and Muki.
Two rescue dogs who found their way to us through HungaryDogs – and turned our family life pretty thoroughly upside down.
Emma was the first little personality to join our family, and Muki came later. Two very different dogs, two different stories – and today, we simply can't imagine our lives without either of them.
With them, animal welfare became something different for me. It was no longer simply a cause I believed in, but something that suddenly had a name, four paws, and a permanent place in our home.
And of course, animal welfare doesn't end the moment a dog finds a new home. Sometimes that's exactly where a whole new chapter of the story begins.
Muki's Journey
Muki came to us with a few health challenges. We knew early on that he would eventually need major hip surgery. Because he's a very large dog, he needs to be fully grown before the operation. He's turning three now, has already been through several therapies – and the surgery is still ahead of us.

Behind every dog who gets a second chance are people who notice, help, organize, care, and refuse to give up.
HungaryDogs gave Emma and Muki that chance. With this heartfelt project, I want to give something back and help other dogs find their way to a safe and loving home, too.

Since yarn is what I know best, I wanted to use exactly that to give something back.
My love for dogs and my work with yarn eventually came together in patterns for dog sweaters – practical pieces for four paws that are also part of my heartfelt project for animal welfare.

Because animal welfare is close to my heart.
Emma and Muki both came to us through HungaryDogs. We picked them up ourselves – and an organization I wanted to support became something deeply personal to us.
