Frogging Without Fear – How to Save Your Project in Style

06/05/2025

It happens to the best of us: You knit, take a closer look, and think: "Oh no. That's not working at all." Wrong color. Wrong size. A pattern that somehow turned into mayhem.

But instead of tossing it in frustration, here's my case for frogging with grace.

🧵 Why frogging isn't failure

  • You learn exactly, what went wrong
  • You get your yarn back – reuse, recycle, re-knit!

  • You train your eye for fit, technique, and design

🤝 My tips for ripping without rage:

  1. Breathe. Really. Mistakes happen.
  2. Before ripping: Secure your stitches (use a lifeline!)
  3. Rip slowly: Watch what went wrong
  4. Take notes: What would I change next time?
  5. Rewind your yarn: Turning a mess into a masterpiece

Frogging isn't failure – it's growth in disguise.
