There are knitting techniques that sound more complicated the first time you hear about them than they actually are.
When you've been around the world of yarn, wool, and patterns for many years – like I have – you start noticing changes almost automatically.
Some designs seem to take on a life of their own over time. They are not simply purchased once – they keep appearing again, get remade, recommended, and stay present. That is exactly what happened with MonteNegro #1.
Sometimes the best ideas do not come when you are sitting neatly at your desk trying very hard to "be creative" — they show up when you are actually supposed to be doing something completely different.
